Wafer Lock Filing Cabinet Replacement

Wafer Lock Filing Cabinet Replacement

Troubleshooting a Wafer Lock Filing Cabinet: Here are some basic troubleshooting steps you can try before calling a locksmith: Lubricate the Key: A dry key can sometimes cause difficulty turning. Apply a small amount of graphite powder or a lubricant specifically designed for locks (not oil-based lubricants). Insert and remove the key a few times to work the lubricant into the mechanism. Clean the Lock: Dust and debris can jam the wafer mechanism. Use compressed air to gently blow out any visible dust around the keyhole. Do not insert any sharp objects or liquids into the lock. Check for Obstructions: Ensure there are no foreign objects lodged in the keyhole or around the lock mechanism that might be preventing proper key insertion. Gently Jiggle the Key: While inserting the key, try gently jiggling it back and forth to see if it helps engage the wafers within the lock. (Do not force it excessively).

Important Note: These are basic troubleshooting steps. If none of these methods resolve the issue or you’re uncomfortable attempting them, it’s best to call a locksmith.

Commercial Panic Push Bar with Lever Lock Woodstock Restaurant Installation

Installation of Commercial Panic
Push Bar with Lever Lock

Installing a commercial panic push bar with a lever lock at a restaurant in Woodstock offers several benefits, ensuring both safety and compliance. Here are some key advantages. Enhanced Emergency Safety: A panic push bar allows quick exit during emergencies, minimizing risks for patrons and staff by providing easy access to exits without needing to unlock or turn knobs. Code Compliance: Many local and national building codes require panic hardware in commercial spaces, especially in high-occupancy places like restaurants. This installation helps ensure your restaurant meets safety regulations and avoids fines. Increased Security: The lever lock feature adds a layer of security, allowing control over entry from the outside. Only authorized personnel can enter, reducing unauthorized access while maintaining a safe exit. Durability and Low Maintenance: Commercial-grade push bars are built for frequent use, withstanding high foot traffic and minimizing maintenance needs. Insurance Benefits: Having proper emergency exits can positively impact insurance rates, as it demonstrates compliance with safety standards and reduces liability in emergencies.

Woodstock

Woodstock also became the first suburb in the city where a distinct Portuguese, ethnic community developed. The Portuguese population in the city increased from 228 immigrants in 1936 to 1649 immigrants by 1970. A total of 675 of these immigrants, coming from Madeira, settled in Woodstock between 1940-1980, and the area earned the nickname “Little Madeira.” Portuguese fishermen first settled in the suburb in the 1930s and became known as the “pioneers” of the Portuguese diaspora in the Cape. They chose to settled in Woodstock for its location close to the harbour and for its relative affordability. Notwithstanding the lower parts of Woodstock becoming run down in the second half of the 20th century, with litter, crime and drugs becoming a serious issue, the face of Woodstock has changed dramatically over the last decade. Young professionals have been quick to take advantage of still affordable pretty Victorian semi-detached homes, many of which have been beautifully renovated and restored. Restaurants, media and other businesses, offices, shops and furniture showrooms have sprung up in converted and revamped warehouses, abandoned buildings and even a disused Castle Brewery.
