Step 1: Replace the key fob battery with a new one (same type) and try locking/unlocking again.
Step 2: Manually lock/unlock the driver’s door with the key. If it works, the issue might be with the key fob.
Step 3: Try using the lock/unlock buttons inside the car. If they work, the problem is likely the key fob.
Step 4: Check the fuse box diagram in your manual and replace the door lock fuse if blown (same rating).

Step 1. Identify the Ignition Barrel: Confirm the exact Chevy Spark model year (2011-2016 or 2016-2022) to determine the specific ignition barrel needed.
Step 2. Gather Tools and Replacement Parts: Collect the necessary tools, including screwdrivers, picks, wrenches, and possibly a depinning tool if re-keying the lock cylinder instead of replacing it entirely.
Step 3. Access the Ignition Barrel: This might involve removing panels around the steering column to expose the ignition barrel housing.
Step 4. Disconnect Electrical Connectors: Carefully disconnect any electrical wiring harnesses connected to the ignition barrel.
Step 5. Remove the Ignition Barrel: Depending on the model, there might be a retaining pin or screw that needs to be removed to detach the ignition barrel from the housing.
Step 6. Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement: If only the lock cylinder needs replacing, carefully remove it from the housing and install the new one into the existing barrel.
Step 7. Reassemble and Test: Reassemble everything in reverse order, ensuring all connections are secure. Test the new ignition barrel with a key to verify proper functionality.

Step 6. Inspect for Debris: Examine the ignition slot for any debris or obstructions and clean it carefully if necessary.
